Creamy Garlic Prawns Thermomix Recipe

  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 1 red chili, deseeded and roughly chopped
  • 20 grams unsalted butter
  • 900 grams green prawns, shelled
  • 60 grams lime juice (or lemon juice)
  • Pink salt flakes and cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 50 grams cream or coconut cream
  • 400-600 grams cooked fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • Fresh thyme or parsley, for garnish
  • Lemon or lime wedges, for serving
 
  1. Place garlic, chili, and butter in the Thermomix bowl; chop 4 seconds at speed 5. Scrape down sides.

  2. Sauté for 5 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1.
  3. Add prawns to the bowl; cook for 5 minutes, Varoma temperature, reverse speed 1 with the spatula guard.
  4. Add lime juice, salt, pepper, and cream; cook for 2 minutes, Varoma temperature, reverse speed 1 with spatula guard.
  5. Toss cooked fettuccine through the sauce in the bowl, adding a little pasta cooking water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve with lemon or lime wedges.
