- 1 kg fresh crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 8-10 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 1 ½ tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper (or fresh lemon juice)
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Fresh lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Steam or boil the crab pieces until cooked through and bright red; drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant but not browned (about 2 minutes).
- Stir in Old Bay, paprika, Cajun seasoning, brown sugar, lemon pepper, cayenne, and vinegar. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring often, to create a thick flavorful sauce.
- Add crab to the sauce and toss gently to coat all pieces thoroughly. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the crab to absorb the sauce.
- Season with salt to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
